Teton County has an exceptionally engaged, caring, and activated population. I believe local government must inspire our residents to foster a sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive community.

  • Be civil without using "civility" as an excuse to Avoid making difficult decisions

 

Vision and Track Record

 

Workforce Housing

Providing affordable housing options for those who make our county a community is critical. I am proud that my record on workforce and affordable housing caused ShelterJH to endorse my re-election. In the next term, I will work to ensure that the county preserves our existing workforce housing stock; builds new housing that is deed-restricted for our workforce, rather than luxury second homes masquerading as workforce housing; and limits short-term rentals and new hotels.

Protecting Public Lands and Wildlife


More than 97% of Teton County is public land. I am proud of my leadership to protect bears and other wildlife through revisions to our land development regulations.

Transportation

Reducing the impacts of congestion and roads on our community and environment requires regional TRANSIT partnerships and innovative solutions, rather than merely laying more asphalt. I have worked to continually improve our start bus system for riders in town, to the village, and to neighboring counties.

Public Safety

I am proud that the local firefighters (IAFF Local 5067) has endorsed me in recognition of my work to protect public safety. I have also worked to ensure that local firefighters and emergency dispatchers are paid fairly.
